What is Villa Elba like?
Villa Elba is located in the beautiful Sannanranta area, only about 4 km from the centre of Kokkola. Throughout the year, Villa Elba offers interesting activities, great food, and accommodation in the Old Villa as well as in cosy seaside cottages. There are 72 beds in total. Villa Elba also provides excellent facilities for organising meetings, seminars, celebrations and recreation days.
Villa Elba and the Sannanranta area are part of Kokkola’s National Urban Park, the largest and most maritime urban park in Finland. There is direct access to a bird conservation area with boardwalks and nature trails from the courtyard. The programmes available at Villa Elba focus on maritime experiences and environmental education.

Kansainvälisyyttä ja aitoja hetkiä joka päivä
In addition to traditional summer camps and camp schools, day camps and themed camps are also popular at Villa Elba. Villa Elba is a strongly international Youth Centre and active in international cooperation. Finnish, Swedish, and English are spoken daily at Villa Elba.
The programmes emphasise experiential and exploratory learning. At Villa Elba, we create joy, sense of achievement, empathy, and cooperation skills. We also build team spirit, trust among group members, and both individual and group attentiveness. The participation of children and young people is an important value for Villa Elba.
Independent visit to Villa Elba
Yes, it’s possible! In the courtyard area of Villa Elba, there are two playgrounds, a large lawn area, an accessible birdwatching platform, a playhouse and a sandy beach. In the nearby forest, there are accessible boardwalks. The Rummelö birdwatching tower is located 600 metres away.
Independent travellers can purchase meals from Villa Elba’s restaurant or enjoy their own packed food outdoors, in the nature. There is a campfire area on the beach and a grill shelter and a hut at the edge of the forest. There are two saunas: one is available year-round, and the other is a traditional wood-heated, lovely sauna located at the end of a long pier on the sea. Elba’s Pearl has meeting spaces for around 20 people, as well as spacious sauna facilities. Mountain bikes, canoes and SUP boards can be rented from Villa Elba for private use.
