Each year, the youth work professionals at the Finnish Youth Centres welcome thousands of children and young people in groups from schools, organisations, municipalities, sports clubs and parishes. It’s easy and safe to come stay with us!
We operate with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Thus, all our camp school programmes follow the principles of non-formal education, which supports the Finnish curriculum and children’s active learning through careful planning and execution of activities outside the traditional school environment.
We offer ready-made programmes, or programmes can be tailor-made for each group, leaning on Finnish values and education while also taking the group’s background into account. Our skilled and supportive instructors support the group throughout the entire camp, helping you in the development of goals, group cohesion, the youth’s participation, and their relationship with nature.

From Northern Lapland to the Baltic Sea coast, and from the eastern border, and to Southern Finland, the Finnish Youth Centres spread across the country! All our Youth Centres are located in beautiful natural landscapes, surrounded by, for example, national parks, forests, lakes, the sea, and overall breathtaking Finnish scenery. Camp school participants appreciate the clean environment and air, vast unbuilt landscapes, and the unique quiet of the forests surrounding the centres.
High-quality facilities
All Youth Centres’ facilities are designed to meet the needs of children and young people, as well as high-quality equipment for activities such as canoeing, climbing and archery. Accessibility of spaces has been taken into consideration in all Youth Centres.
The accommodation facilities range from, for example, hotel and hostel rooms to traditional Finnish cabins or apartments with common rooms. All Youth Centres have good sports and recreational facilities, both indoors and outdoors, and excellent meeting rooms and group work spaces.
All Youth Centres have their own food services that provide healthy, nutritious, and delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks following the recommended daily meal schedule.
