A forerunner of environmental conscientiousness in North Savo
The Metsäkartano Youth Centre is located in North Savo in the middle of peaceful, scenic wilderness. The camp centre is situated on a peninsular jutting out from Lake Ylä-Keyritty and several hiking trails, nature paths and skiing routes lead out away from the camp into the surrounding countryside, in addition to environmental and adventure activities. The Savotta building serves as a diverse activity centre for both arts and crafts and fitness. Metsäkartano is the only lodging facility in Finland to be awarded the EU Ecolabel for environmental friendliness and display the EU flower logo.
