Camps, adventures, and relaxing getaways
Finnish Youth Centres offer camp facilities with full board and lodging ideal for school groups, camps focused around special themes or hobbies, nature walks and longer treks, topic days and a collection of separate programmes. Centres also offer prepared sessions on nature, the environment, history, culture, handicrafts, physical fitness, adventure activities and games.
Centres are located throughout Finland in areas representative of their regional surroundings. The wilderness environment near the centres is an integral part of all camp activities and learning experiences. A central part of each activity is direct hands-on experimentation and achievement, in addition to learning to work as part of a group. Activities planned by the professional camp leaders are developed according to the principles of adventure and experiential education.
