Supporting school education
Youth Centres make it easy to arrange off-site youth education camps and class teamwork days or training, great ways to promote class spirit and successful school work. The main objective of Youth Centre programmes is the growth and advancement of children and youth as people and part of their communities. The content of theoretical sessions complies with national core curriculum standards, providing an experiential learning experience that coincides neatly with classroom work.
Each of the Youth Centre camps embrace the principles of adventure and experiential pedagogy, with professional instructors, consideration of safety in all situations, a cosy environment, good food and close contact with nature. The operating environment of each Centre is therefore experiential, safe and developmental.
Finnish Youth Centres carry out over 1,000 full-service youth education camps annually.
